Know about these 2 new features of Google Chrome?

In December 2022, Google announced the introduction of 2 new modes called Memory Saver and Energy Saver.

All users of Google Chrome can now take advantage of these features.

Open Settings in Google Chrome and navigate to the Performance section to access these new modes.

You can make the most of your system memory with Memory Saver Mode.

Memory saver mode works by 'freezing' open tabs in the Chrome browser, which saves memory and does not slow down the device.

A needle gauge icon that indicates how much memory a tab has saved appears on the right side of the address bar when Memory Saver is activated.

In contrast, the Energy Saver mode assists in power conservation.

According to Google, Chrome uses 30 per cent less memory when using memory saver mode.

While smooth scrolling, features with a high refresh rate, and visual effects are disabled, activating Energy Mode restricts background activity.
